I, Ba’al
Earth hunted him across two galaxies and a timeline. Now the last of the System Lords has come back... and he’s asking for help.
The story
Ba’al is dead. Every clone hunted down. The original, executed. Earth moved on.
Nobody told Ba’al.
When the last of the Goa’uld System Lords appears in the gate room of Stargate Command — flaunting a hostage no one expected and a warning about a power that unmakes starships at the molecular level — General Jack O’Neill and SG-1 are dragged into the one alliance they swore they’d never accept.
But the mission goes wrong almost immediately. Aboard a ship where weapons refuse to fire and the dead walk the corridors, SG-1’s newest enemy may be the reality itself — and every member of the team, Ba’al included, is about to face a trial built precisely for them.
Because something out there has been watching Earth for a very long time. It knows what humanity has done to its own world. And the price of saving the planet is a bargain stranger than anything that ever came through the Stargate.
Six crystal skulls. Two impossible allies. One planet running out of time.
I, Ba’al continues the story begun in the classic Stargate SG-1 episode “Crystal Skull” — told, for the first time, from inside the mind of the galaxy’s most charming tyrant.
